City of Garfield
PURPOSE: The City of Garfield is seeking funding through the State of NJ Green Acres Program for improvements at 20th Century Field located at 75 Elizabeth Street and Emanual Street and Gaston Avenue in the City of Garfield.
PROJECT SCOPE: The City of Garfield proposes to create the following new facilities at 20th Century Field: a new splash park. A concept plan showing the proposed changes, a preliminary cost estimate, and an environmental impact assessment for the project can be found at: https://www.garfieldnj.org.
PUBLIC HEARING INFORMATION: The public is encouraged to attend a public hearing to learn more about the proposal and to ask questions or provide comments on the proposed plan on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 6PM. The meeting will be held in person, as part of the regularly scheduled Council meeting. Written comments on the proposed application and requests for a hard copy of the application package may be directed to Erin Delaney, City Manager, edelaney@garfieldnj.org, and 111 Outwater Lane, Garfield, NJ 07026.
