Garfield welcomes and honors our Veterans from all branches of service.

The City of Garfield has created a web page of resources to help guide our heroes through the various departments on the federal, state, and county levels.

 

As mayor, I can assure you that the council and I are proud of our unwavering commitment to veterans. Garfield has a rich military history, including an active VFW Post 2867. As a son of a veteran, mayor, and principal of Garfield Middle School I am proud to say that Garfield has the only middle school in Bergen County to offer a Blue Stars Club for students with immediate family members serving in the military. Garfield is implementing new veteran-friendly initiatives to help our veterans feel appreciated in our community. As the proud son of a WWII Veteran, I am committed to putting in place programs for our veterans and military families where they will feel appreciated and honored in our great city.
