Garfield Police Department - Parking Enforcement Officer
Part-Time Position (Up to 29.5 hours per week)
$18.54 per hour
The primary responsibility of a parking enforcement officer is to issue city ordinances for parking violations. Some of the responsibilities include:
Alternate Side Parking
Residential Overnight Parking
Commuter Parking
Timed Parking Limit
Hours:
7 Days: 2:30 am - 6:30 am
Monday to Friday: 7:30 am - 1:00 pm, 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Saturday: 9:00 am - 2:00 pm, 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Requirements:
Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent, and valid New Jersey Driver’s License. Customer service experience is highly preferred. Successful candidate will possess extensive knowledge of the geography of the City of Garfield streets, exceptional customer service skills, and the capability to work with the public, specifically with disgruntled customers, with the ability to de-escalate situations when necessary. Must be available to work some evenings, weekends, and overnight. All applicants will be subject to a background screening. The City is an Equal Opportunity Employer
