The City of Garfield in Bergen County, New Jersey is seeking a qualified and dynamic candidate with New Jersey W3, T2 and C3 water and wastewater operator license.  We are considering a candidate for our Operator of Record positions. Garfield operates Citywide Water and Wastewater facilities for its residents. The facilities serve over 37,000 residents with a wastewater collection system containing 39.4 miles of gravity fed sewer lines in its 2.4 square mile service area.  Garfield’s water system has 3 Points of Entry, one booster station and sixteen wells and is supplemented with five interconnects to Passaic Valley Water Commission.  Garfield has just upgraded its’ three Points of Entries with GAC treatment for PFAS and VOC’s.  We also maintain one Packed Tower for VOC removal which has been totally rebuilt two years ago.  Garfield SCADA system fully automates the water system.
