The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (NJMVC) Mobile Unit is coming to you—making it easier and more convenient for residents to complete vehicle inspections locally. Inspections will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and no appointment is required. Vehicles will be processed in the order they arrive.

Important Inspection Notes

• Inspections can be performed only up to 2 months in advance.
• Passing vehicles will receive a 2-year inspection sticker.
• New car dealer vehicles will receive a 5-year inspection sticker.
• Failing vehicles will receive a rejection sticker and a 30-day report, allowing time to correct the issue and return to an inspection facility for re-inspection.
