Emergency Services profile for: Sam J. Garofalo. Sam has been very actively involved in the Emergency Services ever since joining, the Lodi Volunteer Fire Dept. in June of 1981. Starting his fire dept. service with Fire Co. #1 (Engine 612) and serving in the capacity of, Lieutenant, Captain, Assistant Fire Chief, Fire Chief, President and Vice President. Sam has been employed by the City of Garfield for 5 years serving in the capacity of Superintendent of Public Works. Served the Boro of Lodi as Emergency Management Coordinator Is a Life Member of the New Jersey State Fireman’s Association, a member of New Jersey State Fire Chiefs Association, South Bergen Fire Chief’s Aid Association. Currently holds certification and training in the following areas: Firefighter 1 & 2, NJ State Certified Fire Inspector, Basic Emergency Management, Incident Command & Incident Management, Foam Applications, And many other miscellaneous Emergency Service Courses On the personal side Sam is married, to Marianne his wife of 3 years, and has 3 wonderful children.
