The Garfield Health Department Registered Environmental Health Specialist investigates public health related complaints, including heat, hot water, insects, garbage, ragweed, litter, rodents, dog feces and odors. Included are complaints about businesses, including food establishments, personal grooming shops, schools, child care facilities and public pools.
The Registered Environmental Health Specialist can be reached at (973) 340-3340, Monday through Friday between 9:00 am to 9:30 am, 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, and 3:30 pm to 4:00 pm. Complaints and problems can also be left after hours on the Health Department voice mail at (973) 340-3340.
