Stanley J. Moskal, Councilmember of Garfield, NJ was born in June 1978 and is a lifelong resident of Garfield. He is the son of Stanley and Anna Moskal. He attended Garfield High School and graduated in 1996 in the top 15 of his class. Stanley went on to the Pennsylvania State University, where he graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Minor in Business Law. Upon graduation, Stanley joined Lucent Technologies where he held various positions including Senior Internal Auditor, IT Project Manager, and Finance Manager for Lucent’s Global Sales Organization. While at Lucent, he attended Babson College and in 2003 graduated with a Master of Science in Management with a Concentration in Finance. Stanley joined Kraft Foods in May 2005 as a Finance Manager supporting their North American Salted Snacks, Cereal, and Biscuit business. On May 11, 2004, Stanley was elected to the Garfield Council and is one of the youngest Councilmembers in the State of New Jersey. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Garfield YMCA and the Garfield Vistula Soccer Club. He is the Vice-President of the Pulaski Parade Association of Garfield. Stanley is also a member of Garfield’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and was one of the first Councilmen in New Jersey to complete the program. He also served as a Commissioner to Garfield’s Joint Insurance Fund. Stanley is an active parishioner of Saint Stanislaus Kostka, R.C. Church where he has served as an usher for their Sunday mass since the age of 15. In 2004, Stanley was selected to be the Marshal and lead the Garfield Contingent in the Pulaski Day Parade. He holds the distinction of being the youngest Marshal ever to lead Garfield in this annual parade. |
