| Councilmember Tana M. Raymond
Tana M. Raymond is the newest addition to the Garfield City Council. She is a registered professional nurse in the state of New Jersey who has a son Dr. Christian Raymond, and a grandson, Christian Jr. Tana began her schooling at Felician College in Lodi, New Jersey where she earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing. She then went on to earn her school nurse certification at Caldwell College in Caldwell, New Jersey. She then attended St. Peter's College in Jersey City, New Jersey where she earned a Master of Arts in Urban Education, Master of Arts in Administration, Supervisor Certification for Public Schools in the State of NJ, and an Administrator's Certificate. Tana has worked in the City of Garfield for many years as a school nurse at Columbus #8, a Supervisor for the Garfield School District Nursing Department, an Affirmative Action Officer for the Garfield School District, as well as an Office Manager at her son Christian's doctor's office. Her prior experience includes working as a nurse at Kennedy Memorial Hospital and a nurse administrator at various senior citizen clinics. On her free time Tana likes to give back to the community by volunteering at churches. She is a Parishioner and a member of the Feast Committee at Our Lady of Mount Virgin R.C. Church. She also helps out at Our Lady of Sorrows R.C. Church as a Teacher of Religious Instruction. Civic Activities: - Organized citizen's task force against illegal dwellings
